Awarded the Taipei Cycle d&i Award 2024, the Silex 4000 represents a well-thought-out gravel concept with high everyday usability and confident off-road performance.

The lightweight carbon frame and fork are paired with a durable Shimano GRX 2x10 drivetrain, which, thanks to its double chainring, offers a wide gear range and easily tackles even steep climbs. Robust, tubeless-ready Maxxis Rambler tires ensure secure grip and high comfort on gravel, forest trails, and mixed terrain. The mountain bike-inspired geometry provides a stable, predictable ride and a direct connection to the ground at all times. High-quality Merida components complete the package in a functional and understated way.

Versatility without limits

The Silex platform stands for maximum versatility and high control off-road. A slacker head angle and generous tire clearance of up to 700x45 mm, or 42 mm with fenders, ensure stability even on challenging terrain. At the same time, the bike remains efficient and agile, whether on sporty gravel rides, long training tours, or the daily commute.

Numerous mounting points for bottle cages, bags, and accessories make the Silex 4000 ideal for bikepacking and touring. The integrated WIRE PORT cable routing ensures a clean look and prevents cables from getting in the way when using handlebar bags. The carbon fork offers additional cargo mounts and internal compatibility with hub dynamos, significantly expanding its versatility. Thanks to the option of using either a 1x or 2x drivetrain, the setup can be optimally adapted to personal preferences and intended use.
